First time blogger here, with another little entry.
Ahh, Saturdays. They’re probably the most restful days for me — and today really was.
I woke up, fed my cats, started some laundry, and eased into the morning with a nice cup of joe (made perfectly, might I add). There’s something about slow mornings that just feels right.
On my grocery store adventure today, I encountered some Girl Scouts selling cookies… and I quite literally ran away. I’m on a diet right now. I cannot be tempted. I refuse.
But then my local grocery store gave out…..free samples. And I have to admit, I was influenced. They had a turkey sandwich with garlic aioli, chipotle mayonnaise, and caramelized onion cheese! What was I supposed to do? It was incredible. Resistance was futile. Sorry Girl Scouts, I’ll get your cookies next time.
When I got home, I made myself a smoothie for breakfast, worked out a little, and later made that same sandwich while talking to my mom for two hours. Speaking of which, she wants me to come home for Easter… right after I get back from Hawaii that same week. Not entirely sure how that’s going to work, but I digress.
Now for the highlight of the day: I made the most perfect loaf of bread. The dough came out beautifully. I paired it with a nice bowl of minestrone soup, and honestly? Elite combo right there. I’ll link both recipes down below, as well as the finished product.
Then, later, I went to my local boba shop. Do they know my order every time I walk in….and my name? Yes. Will I switch up my order one day just to keep them on their toes? Maybe. Probably not.
It was such a calm and quiet. It was exactly what I needed. What a perfect Saturday.
23 days left until the quarter ends.

I added some Chicken Boulillon for a little extra flavor.
